Wow-we are so pleased to announce that Liberty took home lots of Gold from the sunshine state during this year’s Florida State Fair International Wine Competition! Every wine we entered in the competition earned a medal.
Richter Red took home Double Gold. Double Golds are awarded to wines that the entire panel of judges deemed worthy of Gold Medal. This is a great honor for this popular, semi-sweet red wine, which is named after owner Gary Burmaster’s grandparents, Herbert and Beulah Richter, who planted the Fredonia grapes used in this blend. It is a wine created to be shared with loved ones.
Liberty’s Reds, Whites & Blues, Riesling and Fredonia all took home Gold Medals. Reds, Whites & Blues is Liberty’s most-popular wine. This customer-favorite is perfect alone or in our Reds, Whites & Blues Sparkling Sangria–this recipe only takes 5 ingredients and 5 minutes and it is a great Summer refresher (we are looking forward to those hot Summer days to sip this one again!).
Our semi-sweet Riesling is perfect to enjoy on its own or with Fried Chicken, Chinese food or a turkey dinner. Delish!
Fredonia is a perfect choice for this LOOOOOOOONG Winter we’ve been experiencing. Try it alone or enjoy it mulled on a cold evening. This great Mulled Fredonia recipe fills your home with a wonderful, spicy aroma.
In addition to the Golds and Double Gold, Liberty also received Silver medals for Diamond, Trifection, Purple Haze and Cabernet Sauvignon and Bronze medals for Chocolette, Traminette, White Side of the Moon, Lucy’s in the Sky and Cat Noir.
